Fox Nation advertises on DU. I hate Fox and all it stands for. I love DU.

I can still "get on" DU and derive benefit and pleasure while strongly disliking the fact that DU allows Fox to advertise. Some things about DU are bad, imo. Most things are good, imo. Can you make such a distinction? How hard is it for you?

3. Yes, I understand they are not there for everyone, but some might strongly object to

them being there at all for anyone. I see you have rationalized their presence in a positive way. The overall benefit outweighs, in your opinion, any negative.

It's not difficult at all to tune them out.

If you hadn't told me Pox was advertising on DU, I'd never have known.

In any case, the ads are generated by whatever has appeared most recently on the board. If somebody was dissing Pox (and I can't imagine anyone here praising the cable station), Google would simply supply one of their ads because they were mentioned.

The Google ad algorithm doesn't go by context, only mention.

The owners don't pick them, but there they are. Quite a first impression for newcomers.
