Torture News Roundup: Cheney's Screwed

by Patriot Daily Clearing House

I found this posted at DailyKos. It's one kick-ass diary with a chronological and comprehensive description of what went down on the torture program. It's long, but a good read. Well worth the time. There is too much to pick and choose from.

Please keep this kicked so more will see it.

8. More Bombshells Are On The Way...
The "debate" here started about torture, it's going to lead to exposing cheney's abuse of power in sending this country into a disastrous war for profit. The evidence is coming to light...he was hellbent on war in Iraq before 9/11, cooked the intel to make that war happen, intimidate and blackmail any political enemies and blatantly and repeatedly lie to the American people via friendly corporate media stooges.

Crashcart hopes to numb people on his abuses...try to "justify" it or muddy the waters to confuse the real issues and criminals. Our job is to see through the bullshit and keep demanding for accountability.

15. Before this all started coming out, I didn't care if there were indictments.
But now I really want Cheney indicted. He wasn't pushing toture to protect anything but his own plans and profit. It's disgusting.

17. Jan. 20, 2001 The Cheney/Bush administration had three objectives
1. empty the Treasury
2. raid the public trusts
3. invade Iraq

9. I don't think bush knew about any of this.
bush doesn't even seem to have been involved in anything the government did during his ill-gained "presidency". All he did was trot out and read cheney's lies off a teleprompter from time to time. No wonder he spent so much time on vacation - there was nothing else for him to do!

The ultimate proof of bush's complete non-involvement can be plainly seen in the "My God, he actually did it" expression on his face upon being informed of the 9/11 attacks while reading a book to schoolchildren. Play the video, watch bush's face - he is obviously petrified as he realizes that cheney's PNAC "new Pearl Harbor" event has miraculously occurred, just as cheney wanted all along.

bush is keeping quiet now because he knows that anything he says can be used against him in a court of law. (Technically, he was the president, though far from "the Decider".)

The noose is tightening. I really think we're going to get cheney on this. Please God! And don't you dare die on us first, you snake. No "Ken Lay defense" this time.

11. Maybe more so! As I said, he *was* technically the president through it all.
Where else would the buck stop?

20. The Bush family still owns that huge estate in Paraguay,
right next to Moon's huge estate. Maybe it's time for the Bush mafia to relocate? I mean...it's not like we didn't know at the time why they bought it.

12. Cheney
Should be put in to a straitjacket and kept in a suicide proof cell under 24 hour guard.

All the "Ken Lay escape routes" should be blocked for him right now!

Note to his guards: Don't let Dick-o charm you in to slipping him his cyanide capsule!

13. Very painful reading...I read as much of it as I could stand to.
I'm glad someone put it all together in one place, though. Pretty soon everyone will be connecting the dots...which does mean Cheney's screwed.

this country just doesn't seem to get it, so I hope the dots can make a dent in the consciousness of the masses.

19. Make public Cheney's secret energy task force meeting.
This jumped out at me on DU and at DKos. It's just one of the things that could tie everything together.

God, that diary is far too long to digest. But it does give a perspective of just how convoluted and complex it is. These criminals masterminded the most devious of all crimes to ever have been committed. So devious that Americans don't have the abililty to understand it enough to be outraged.

Yes, they should open that up to the public ASAP.

25. Those particular documents have been released through FOIA:
http://www.judicialwatch.org/story/2002/mar/maps-and-charts-iraqi-oil-fields

What's missing are the rest of the documents, and details of exactly who attended. Presumably we could then press these attendees for details of what was discussed, and we'd have our gold mine. My suspicion is it would uncover evidence of 9/11 foreknowledge.
