Fortune: credible attack on global warming?
I'm curious to know what people's reactions are to this article, the most credible-sounding piece I've seen on the "other" side of the global warming issue:

2. Whatever...ground temp reading are misleading anyway
due to the effects of global dimming attributed to all the shit in the atmsophere acting like mirrors.

I'm sure that all of these glaciers melting helps substantiate that overall the earth must be warmer.

3. One question. What if they are not overblown? Are we willing....
to take the chance?
If they are overblown then it cost us some money and lifestyle changes.
If it isn't overblown our species becomes extinct.

4. Sounds Like His Specialty is the Urbanizaiton Effect
I've heard of it before, and do not doubt it can happen and cause a distortion of trends if not taken into account.

But the whole global warming argument is much more complicated than averaging surface temperatures. Expanding suburbs are not causing the glaciers to recede.

6. Christy's satellite data claims have been reviewed and disproven.
There is a discussion of it here:
http://www.skepticalscience.com/satellite-measurements-warming-troposphere.htm

A paper that he himself co-authored acknowledges that his previous claims were wrong:

"Previously reported discrepancies between the amount of warming near the surface and higher in the atmosphere have been used to challenge the reliability of climate models and the reality of human induced global warming. This significant discrepancy no longer exists because errors in the satellite and radiosonde data have been identified and corrected..."

So the question is, why is he still giving interviews claiming that his previous work hasn't been corrected and disproven? Why is he pretending that he hasn't acknowledged that AGW is real (He has said this). Maybe he's having memory problems? Or maybe all that money that he "doesn't take" from the denialist lobby and from his denialist book started to dry up?

He seems to be turning into a very inconsistent wack job:
