We need another Church Committee.

To investigate the CIA.

They have lied to Congress and the American people and they have done great harm to our reputation around the world.

There are those that will defend the cuddly and competent CIA. They are necessary for the defense of our country, they say. They can't tell you about all the good things they do because it is super secret. But the bad things always seem to get out? Why is that?

The sad truth is that the CIA simply followed orders. The lawyers in the White House and in the VP's Office came up with a legal justification for torture. Dick Cheney was the man the CIA took their orders from.

They hired the "contractors" to work for CIA, the same way they have done for the last 50 years. They put hoods over their heads and brutally tortured prisoners that were under their control. Perhaps they were all guilty? Perhaps not?

Regardless, they have left a terrible stain upon our country. They tortured. The White House and the Vice President authorized it and they followed the orders. They were simply following orders. Where have we heard that before?

He lost his last reelection bid to one of the biggest idiots that ever walked the Earth, Steve Symms. Another bottomless-pocketed trash-talking moron who helped coin people like Norm Coleman.

Church was the greatest Senator Idaho ever had, and one of the greatest this nation ever had. He was a true public servant.
