Went to bathroom. Must have been the seafood from last night.

Photon engines emitting as per sked. Crew asleep.

Tuning to Malloy program at 2100 hours (Earth-Sol-X quadrant) as usual.

Hope there’s another “Gumshoe” seg. If not, maybe Story Corner. Whatever.

She's 3-4 months old and apparently a foreclosure dog. Boss brings her to work, so when Mrs. Boss dropped her off this morning we were already friends. Her name is Lily, and she spent most of the day sleeping on my lap. She's now sleeping behind me on the Lazy-Boy. Little cutie - if I move out of her sightline she starts shrieking. Abandonment issues.

Kitties behaving as predicted. Pod doesn't give a shit. Peewee is hiding. Darth went passive/aggressive and is now off somewhere in a snit. They'll get over it.

We went through the whole rescue thing and he found this little girl. The one reservation he had about adopting her was that the family was all going to LA over the Memorial Day weekend, and he didn't want to subject her to the stress of a kennel. So I was like - DUH! - let me take her when you're away. Cats adjust.

Matter of fact, Peewee just jumped up on my thigh, asking for noogies, while Lily is sleeping just behind me. Animals adjust. Love them beyond words!!!:loveya:

Congress on Wednesday sent President Obama a set of new rules governing credit card companies, completing three consumer-related measures that Democrats had raced to have signed into law by Memorial Day.

But the credit card victory came at a cost that angered some backers of the legislation: approval of an unrelated provision allowing visitors to national parks and wildlife refuges to carry loaded weapons if they are otherwise licensed to possess guns.

Congressional leaders and administration officials decided not to contest the gun measure propelled by Senator Tom Coburn, Republican of Oklahoma, to avoid delaying credit card legislation that the White House wanted as an important symbol of the administration’s push for economic relief for consumers.

Final House passage of the credit card bill by a margin of 361 to 64 followed Congressional approval earlier this week of an increase in federal resources to pursue financial fraud and another measure that would make it easier for financially pressed homeowners to seek changes in their mortgages. Mr. Obama signed those bills on Wednesday and was planning to act quickly on the credit legislation.

I'll never consider camping at the local park where Charlie works ever again. The people that he works with aren't too happy about this bullshit law either.

Our state parks used to be alcohol free and firearm free and the park ranger has jurisdiction in all parts of the county. I'm sure he's gonna be thrilled to be encountering armed campers.

I may or may not own a firearm (my Dad taught me to never answer that question), but I don't feel a need to carry one around with me everywhere that I go. Fucking crazies.

edited to add: Mr. lefty stated that the first person to be shot should be the kin of the legislators who voted for this law. If Charlie is ever hurt or threatened, it will get very ugly. Real quick.
