Gitmo - The New Baby Boomer Retirement Plan.......
now that our retirement nesteggs have been pillaged and we have nothing to do but to work till we die - I'm thinking that our government has provided us with a real good retirement plan.
I was listening to MSNBC earlier in the day. Whomever was being interviewed was touting how wonderful Gitmo is. He was telling of all the medical staff they have there. He said the meals that the prisoners get are wonderful. They have the ability to practice their religion and pray. They are well informed and are able to keep up with the news through TV and newspapers - I think he said USA TODAY.
Anyway - he painted a wonderful picture of the life of a terrorist after imprisonment at Gitmo - all expenses paid.
Yesterday in Keith's WTF Moment - he spoke of a Senator or Rep that was saying that these prisoners get better healthcare than most American's.
Well bottom line - could this be our new baby boomer retirement plan.
How do we get us some Gitmo?
Seems to me that when we feel we want to retire - we just cause some commotion that gets us admitted to Gitmo - and our lives will be taken care of until we pass from this earth. We'll have three squares a day. Have the best of healthcare. Get plenty of exercise. Keep up with world events. Allowed to practice our religion.
Maybe we can even encourage them to let us have afternoon coffee's or tea's and play cards and have day visits to Havana and cooking classes. This would be all on the taxpayers dime of course.
Any other ideas as to how to make Gitmo Retirement Ready. (sarcasm)
One flaw I see in how the military does business is that everyone theoretically has to be "combat ready" even though there are thousands of jobs which don't require physical fitness or weapons proficiency. If we have old people being greeters at Walmart, why can't they work the guard shack at the front gate of domestic installations? Why can't they answer phones and kiss brass ass?
