While I'm industrial strength disappointed in the outcome, I was struck by something... Carlos Santana, Rod Stewart, Cindy Lauper, KISS, Brian May and the rest of Queen minus Freddie, Lionel Ritchie, and Steve Martin obviously don't think AI is a fucked up cliche about everything that's wrong with entertainment in America.

Imagine that.

Congratulations Kris!

1. Queen and Kiss were obviously there ONLY for Adam!
And wasn't he wonderful with them?

2. I thought he fit in perfectly with KISS.
No one though, can compare to Freddie Mercury. He was and will remain in a class all by himself. I saw Queen on Christmas Eve once, and there was this big play on Santa Claus... He came out on a sleigh, with his bag o' presents on his back. Freddie Mercury was in the bag.

Adam Lambert will certainly surpass Kris in the stardom department and I salute them both.

For what it's worth, I thought that tonight's AI telecast was as well written and played as any live telecast I've ever seen.

Haters can kiss my lily white ass if they want, but American Idol tonight was Must See TV.

9.  Actually, Queen has asked Adam to be their lead singer.
When asked about that at his press conference Adam said he would have to "take the 5th" but smiled and nodded. he said he had several options, implying that was one of them.

6. Yeah, and how many times have I felt that way? To be a Dodger fan is to know frustration like the
back of your hand. But I am one, have always been one, and will remain one. Fair Weather Fan? NOT ME. Cut me and blue liquid spills from my veins.

Some day I'll tell you about how Jeff Kent threw me a baseball in Chicago and a year later Frank McCourt asked him to sign it for me. JK doesn't sign things. Frank came to me (came to ME!) and took the ball out of his pocket after Nomar (No More!) hit a walk-off Grand Slam to end the last home game of the season. It's my penultimate baseball experience. It's rivaled only by Tommy Lasorda signing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" in Chicago, and making it about the Dodgers rather than the Cubbies. and Pete Rose flipping off the crowd at Dodger Stadium.

I love this game! (Easy to say when the Trolley Dodgers are winning)

7. LOL. Good stories.... I can respect and have fun with the true Blu*
(Sorry, I have a hard time saying blue) Dodger fans .. but there's nothing worse than a bandwagon jumper.

I'm glad to hear you say you're anything but.

I love this game also, even when the Giants are losing. Which is going to be a lot this year with that sorry excuse for an offense.

8. Steve Martin's got a new album to sell...
KISS are just a bunch of whores, and Queen doesn't have John Deacon in it.

Okay, I'm done now. ;)
