Isn't that public financing of political campaigns?

3. Oh ye of little faith.
Obama has given us assurances - Paulson has worked hard. Getihenr and Bernanke working even harder.

Of course, he doesn't <ahem> mention who they are working for. But I sorta figure it ain't for us.

4. Sort of the compliment to military propaganda yielding contributions.
TAxpayer money spent by defense industry in the media to scare the public to spend more on military destructive crap, then use some of this bonus money to buy influence and elections in congress. We get a runaway war wagon bankrupting us and mortgaging the future, and wasting limited resources.

Public financing of war madness? It's all about inducing fear, eh?

6. You'd think some of these politicians
would be embarrassed by openly taking bribes. But it doesn't seem to bother them.
