Just because the media had good ratings during the primaries and election
they are still trying to extend their election coverage. Yesterdays speech by Obama and the grumbling lies from Cheney are presented as a debate. What a joke. The election is over and the Democrats won. Cheney doesn't get to debate the President. Cheney left the White House in disgrace with the lowest approval rating ever. All the far right bloviating will not change this fact.

Why does Cheney, his daughter, and crooked Newt Gingrich get to set the agenda? Contact whatever paper you read of whatever station you watch and ask these questions? Please take a minute and do this today.

1. This country is a joke.
It would be laughable if so many people were not dying because of it.

2. Cable "news" has never been about news
It's about (besides missing white girls and overhead car-chase views) political jibber jabber.

I repeat: it's not news and never has been.

3. We on the Left and Left of Center have to come to grips with:
Foreign Policy and Defense of the Country are primary responsibility
of whomever is President--Democrat or Republican.

The GOP have been successful over the years in convincing the Media
that Democrats are weak on Defense.

Our party is essentially divided on Defense and Foreign Policy.
Red State Democrats tend to be more in line with Republicans
than their party at times.

The Republicans have strategy to try to make a comeback. While Cheney
is working to save ht Bush Legacy, he, Liz, and Newt are using the
same material to strengthen Republicans. Foreign Policy and Defense
have been their strong point with American People. (Democrats have
pretty much given this to them "free". This is why these Three are
given so much face time on TV.

Obama is in the position of Commander-In-Chief. He has to prove
Democrats can do just as well , if not better on Foreign Policy
and Defense. Making change is very slow and he needs your support.
