Acketydinejad nutball hmmmmmf!
Ahmadinejad announces launch of advanced surface-to-surface missile
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced the successful launch of the Sejil-2 surface-to-surface, solid-fuel missile -- a rocket capable of reaching targets in Israel and the Persian Gulf. Ahmadinejad boasts the weapon features "advanced technology" that makes it more precise than Iran's Shahab missiles. Italy's foreign minister, who was preparing to embark on a diplomatic mission to Iran despite a European Union prohibition, abruptly canceled his trip after Ahmadinejad said he wanted to meet at the site of the missile launch. Critics suggest the missile is timed for the start of the Iranian campaign season, while one observer said it's a response to the Barack Obama-Benjamin Netanyahu meeting. 1. Israel has hundreds of nuclear weapons and threatens Iran.
Israel has recently taken bogus provocations to wage war on Lebanon, killing thousands, and last year to pursue a bombing campaign on helpless civilians locked into the open-air concentration camp that Israel has set up in the tiny, densely populated territory of Gaza. Israel flouts international law and illegally settles people on more and more land seized from the Palestinians, making peaceful solutions impossible. It has created an apartheid state, depriving Palestinians of all rights and herding them into Bantustans behind a 20-foot wall. This same dangerous rogue state tried repeatedly to get the United States to bomb Iran, or to give a green light to its own attack on Iran.

Iran's development of any weapons is as regrettable as the building of weapons of war by any country any more on this planet. The supposedly dangerous efforts described in the propaganda peace you cite represent something less than .1% of what the United States is this year developing, producing and selling on the market to other states, thus advancing world instability and maintaining the state of a world permanently full of wars and war-prone crisis.

All that being said, the Iranian theocracy is a horror, Ahmedinejad is a fanatic and fool to boot (inviting the Italian minister to the missile launch site? But did that really happen?), and I hope he loses this election. There's a chance of it, because Obama's not as stupid as Bush (who in 2005 raised the bluster and active attempts to intervene openly in Iranian politics, in moves that I believe were clearly intended to aid Ahmedinejad's election in the first place).
