Today is the anniversary of Harvey Milk's birthday (We just watched Milk for the first time) 5 stars

and was stunned. Wasn't it brilliant? Sean Penn became Harvey Milk, and the supporting cast was perfect. The writer deserved the Oscar for Best Screenplay. Boy, did he ever!

I was living in San Francisco when all that happened, and the movie perfectly captured the time, right down to the horror of those murders. Josh Brolin was equally wonderful, too, as that bastard Dan White.

It's a classic ...................

At midnight the fighting stopped and everyone sang happy Birthday. That is the power of love.

Let's hope next Tuesday will be riot free!
