Dumbest crime ever - man tries to rob bank in drive thru lane while in a stolen car
A Kansas City man apparently was looking for convenience when he allegedly tried to rob a bank on Thursday.

Authorities said the man pulled into the drive-in lane at a Capitol Federal Savings Bank branch in Topeka. He demanded money, but the teller refused to hand over a dime.

The man drove off in a stolen car and was later arrested in a Wal-Mart parking lot, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.

Gregory D. Crosby, 44, was charged in federal court with attempted bank robbery, authorities said today. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 20 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

3. I've been waiting for the day when...
someone pulls up to a drive-thru bank lane -- one of the lanes with the pneumatic tube -- and puts a gun and a note demanding all the money into the cansiter, and pushes the "send" button. Now THAT would be the dumbest crime ever!

8. Why not just send a certified letter to the bank and demand money? Save on gas and
you don't have to steal a car.
