Poll question: When will the 'War on Terror' end?
or the 'Overseas Contingency Operation' , if you prefer to call it that.

1. Other: When the 'empire' is no more.
No more bases, no more occupations, no more 'development' (stealing resources).

Terrorism is the weapon of the weak. It's cheap. Sometimes it works. As long as the powerful exploit the weak there will be terrorism.

Such a no-brainer.

'Little Mary Sunshine' is my middle name.

If you don't believe me ask any neocon. They seem to have a lot to say about it.

3. After this shell of a Republic collapses.
We are locked in to War on Terror, War on Drugs, anything but War On Stupidity. Between the banksters, MIC thugs, and PIC goons, with their vast army of moral harpies and syrupy slick media idiots, there is no hope until we have a real and profound crackup on the order of what happened to the former soviet union.

I had some hope for a while that the crackup was imminent. It was scary, but I welcomed the demise of the World Odor. Now it seems once again that the banksters and thugs have managed to muddle through yet another profound shock to their Crappy System on its slow grind down towards the inevitable singular contradiction between a sustainable environment for human civilization and an economic system that requires perpetual growth.

4. Is this a serious question that begs an answer, or just a rhetorical one?
In seeing that you included "I like kittens", it's hard to take seriously.

I voted never FWIW.

7. I like including kittens
A little levity doesn't stop the serious from being serious.

Thank you for voting.

5. I like kittens. I should add I also like puppies and some small children
mostly those related to my family. (the kids I mean, not the kittens or puppies)

As to the what? War on terror? I wasn't aware there was one. Of course, I slso think that the various well-publicised claims that Charmin is "squeezably soft" are also most likely advertising hype. And while we're on that subject, did Mr. Whipple and Vince Foster meet similarly bad ends?

Amurika wants to no.

12. There is no such thing as "The War On Terror"
It's a Phony War just like the "War On Drugs", or other Circuses Of Bullshit your government has brought you the past 50 years as a real war, but is nothing more than a facade to advance an agenda that has little if anything to with the interests of We The People, The Constitution,or the Good Of The Country.

It's nothing more than a Marketing Slogan for the Criminal Mafia that runs our country now.

13. They picked just the right words with full intent of keeping the fear
ramped up. That's all it is. All it takes is to mix in hate and fear of race and the need for a resource we are running out of and title it war on terror and hit it with shock and awe.

18. Wouldn't it have to START before it can END?
Saudis, UAE. . . ans and Egyptians attacked the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. America demands swift retaliation.

What do we do (well, besides look for a link to Iraq, which was being done by Rummy the Dummy and Rove HOURS AFTER 9-11)

Well, we can't attack Saudi Arabia. Too much cronyism, oil and love affairs between the House of Bush and Saud.

Can't attack UAE. Too much money. And oil.

Can't attack Egypt. Not much going on there.

So we attack Afghanistan. After all, that . . . Taliban is there and they housed Bin Laden. I think. They wouldn't turn him over. Oh wait, they did offer to. I think. That lasted a whole few months. Still no Bin Laden.

"Weeellllll, SOMEone has to git it for 9-11!! Maght as wail be EYE RACK!!"

Conveniently, we forget about Bin Laden (there really IS no concrete evidence that he was behind or even helped PLOT 9-11, as far as I know) and go after CIA asset Saddam Hussein and his dastardly Weapons of Mass Destruction (2003, RNC. All rights reserved)!

So . . . let me get this straight. Some terrsts from three different nations attack us, and in retaliation, we attack two sovereign nations that had nothing to do with 9/11 or anything else that's ever happened to us for that matter. And all of it was based on concocted "intelligence" and flimsy "evidence". And theories. And . . . pretty much America's ingrained hatred for anyone Iraqi.

Um. Yeah. That makes an arseton of sense, don't it?

When big nations stop propping up the dictators and despots of little nations in an effort to prevent those little nations from becoming autonomous nations.
