I found a first edition of Bill Clinton's book, My Life, at the library book
sale. I wonder if it is worth anything cause it is a first edition. I started looking through it and find it fascinating and will read it.

1. Not to brag, but...
We have an autographed copy B-)

Also have signed copies of "The Audacity of Hope", Joe Biden's "Promises To Keep", Paul Tsongas' "Heading Home", Paul Simon's "Let's Put America Back To Work", Joe Lieberman's "In Praise of Public Life", and Colin Powell's "My American Journey".

5. I got one of the First Ed. 1st print autographed.
Not that it is worth anything other than to just "have" and to pass down.

2. No, it had a huge first printing
the scarcity due to a small run (among other things) is what makes certain first editions valuable

3. First editions are fun to just own too
At our library sale, I found a first edition of Jim Webb's "A Country Such as This." That was back when there was some buzz about maybe Obama picking Webb as his V.P. Someone on DU sent me link to some website where they gave you a ballpark price for your first edition, but I no longer have that link or remember it. Even if it's not worth much, it is fun to own first editions....great conversation pieces! Congrats on your find!

4. I agree with you. I have a little collection of first editions that I just like..
When I die I guess my heirs will say, "wonder why she had this old thing?"

8. I thought that was the most interesting part of the book as well
Did you come away with the feeling that he didn't tell all about the abuse he, his mother and his brother suffered from Roger Clinton? There was a "I'm a keeper of secrets" theme that he was sending out, for whatever reason.
