My daughter has started a movement!

She created a mosaic of over 4200 soldiers killed in Iraq, and is hoping that the image helps to personalize the war and remind us that every solider who has died was someone's son or daughter, husband or wife, brother or sister.

Her goal is to collect a million signatures on the petition, to pressure President Obama to get ALL troops out of Iraq by August 31 2010. Obviously we'd all like them home now, but that's not realistic.

The agreement is in place to get all non-combat troops out by that date, but there's already talk of "mission creep," that could redefine the withdrawal and keep combat troops there much longer than agreed. As we start to draw down, it will become more and more dangerous for the toops that remain.

My son is in Iraq right now

Even if he wasn't, I'd sign for all the other Son ands Daughters-- Mother and Fathers-- all our loved ones

My nephew is in Afghanistan, no telling when he'll get back home...

I don't even want to know how I ended up with two military children. My daughter has been out for a couple of years now thank goodness.
