An old friend is in trouble and we pitched in today

Our old friend's name is Chevy. We spent the day at the dealership. We have bought several of them in our 35 years (June 5th) of marriage. 2 Vegas, 2 Caprice wagons, a Malibu wagon, 2 Caprice sedans, a Celebrity, and a 57 we bought in 75 and still have.

I wanted a Malibu. But is is to be Marta's car. We bought an white 09 Equinox because she wanted room to haul stuff in. We drove it home.

We walked the walk for American companies and workers. We hope it helps.

4. I plan to buy a Malibu
but I'll have to wait until I find a job. Doesn't look like the job market is going to get any better in MI soon so it may have to wait a while.

5. Trying to find a way to buy this year
I am driving an 01 with nearly 150 thousand miles. It still runs good but the deals are almost too good to pass up.

But with a kid in college and this economy, the pinch is on. 401 is now a 201 and what stocks I do own are in the toilet.

The deal has to be really sweet to make it affordable.

6. Congratulations from a fellow Chevy person!
Because of where I live, I need 4wd. In 2007, my son got his license and I gave him the '99 Tracker I bought new and bought myself a 2007 Colorado extended cab. I really liked the Equinox when I was looking and if it came in 4wd, that's what I would've gone with. The Colorado was the cheapest 4wd made by Chevy, so that's what I got. The tracker will be 10 years old in July and is still running strong with 203,000 miles on its original engine & transmission! My Colorado will be 2 next month and so far it's got 34,000 problem free miles on it. I'm hoping it'll last like the Tracker!

Best of luck to you!
