Just a thought .......
..... after I first admit that I know very little about Sotomayor. Very little. As in "it can be engraved on the head of a pin" little.

So, with that in mind, what if she gets fairly broad repubican support? Does that mean she's not a real liberal (as her background and resume might suggest - i.e.: judging her book by its cover)? Does it mean she's a centrist and therefore not a reliable vote for causes liberals favor?

Just thoughts .....

2. Your lack of knowledge is shared by most in the Senate
They won't bother to read facts, they'll just go by what their respective talking heads say. BUT, rest assured, the Obamas put careful thought into the pick. He's a constitutional scholar and knows what he's doing. And I really don't think Michelle would let him get away with a moderate pick that would set liberals back decades.

3. and she and Michelle have something in common:
'Judge Sotomayor’s father died when she was 9 years old and she was raised by her mother, who worked six-day weeks to earn enough money to send her and a brother to Catholic school. She got into Princeton University, where she once said she felt like “a visitor landing in an alien country,” but graduated summa cum laude.'

Bronx > Alien Country!
