Is it Easier for Democrats to Remake the Republican Party than for Republicans to Remake their Own

Just wondering?

Which is harder? Democrats to remake their Own Party or Repugs to Remake their own?

1. The republicans can not rebrand themselves with that 23% anchor...

in their trunk, and they can't afford to jettison the anchor either. Rock meets hard spot.

7. Many Dems already seem like Repugs...what if they assume leadership roles?

It could happen. DLC has already driven Party to the Right...and there's "easy pickings" there for savvy Dem Op's of they want to take it? :shrug:

4. Okay...Who has most to gain and lose...by "Remaking" their party.

Many of us Dems feel we tried to re-make our Party after "Stolen Election 2000." But...we might have hit a roadblock for regrowth..(some of us might think) and the Repugs Imploded...but seem to be still rebuilding their base.

Given the trials ahead for America...Constitution/Judicial/Financial...which Party has a better chance of "rebuilding it's Base." Dems or Repugs?

I'll give a bias here for dialog. Dems already rebuilt their base and got a President Elected but the Repugs still have Cheney and Gingrich...so who has better chance of rebuilding...when one side is done and put their "best into the last cannon shots" and those who've been in power and want to hold onto it ..but are so trashed they have to have more firepower to add to the tremendous amount that they already had and that they have Dems manning the guns along with them to achieve ...comity...lets let bygones by bygones...lets move on...let's forget the past. The Dem Party keeps saying we should "forget the past" but the Repug Party says: "Lets make sure NO AMERICAN FORGETS THE PAST and if you allow these Dems to "Take Your Future..then you are Screwed." They sent Cheney/Gingrich and Limbaugh, Beck, Malkin and the rest to "toot their horn."

but Democrats have a long way to go.

I see you have moved on to trying to find a healthier way of dealing with this. Cynical to the max...and who of us isn't flirting with that one....:-(
