He's been moved where and replaced by whom?!

Montel Williams? Yesterday Williams said he was a Republican for 17 years and is now an "independent".

Today his show carried a commercial featuring Glen Beck.

This is "progressive" radio? I don't get it.

1. Come home to Progressive Radio in the NYC area.
The Sam Greenfield Show on WVNJ, 1160 on the AM dial. Formerly on WWRL (Kuby's old station) and WEVD.

Monday-Friday, 7:00 to 9:00 a.m.

You can stream him online at http://www.wvnj.com and click "listen live" on the left.

And a tollfree number for listeners: 800/962-1160.

2. thanks. I'm gonna try that.
Sam's great, after you get over his female vocal range. He really really sounds like a woman.

3. He's the most intelligent, rational, . . . and funny voice on the air.

5. Yeah... I like Greenfield. But last I heard he was doing....
... a 'he said/he said' thing with a conservative (Armstrong Williams?) that wasn't really working. Greenfield's better alone, imo. Exactly the opposite of Kuby, whose much better when he has a foil.

4. I've always been amazed that WWRL calls itself the "Flagship Station" of Air America...
...considering how little of their programming they cover.

6. Might be nice if they could score a station with a stronger signal...
... also. Jeeebus, if you drive north of the city line it starts fading out; it's gone altogether by the time you get to White Plains.

7. Yup. I only get it in southern westchester at 3-5pm. The am is garbled.
I hardly ever listen anymore, and Montel isn't helping keep me. He had on a psychic yesterday. Honestly. WTF?

8. You like Ron Kuby?
I never found him that interesting. I used to listen to Curtis and Kuby in the mornings and Kuby wasn't a strong enough arguer to counter Sliwa's nonsense.

10. He went easy on Sliwa 'cause they were such a mismatch.
Intellectually speaking. And they had to strain to keep up an amicable on-air relationship.

Also he was playing to... and trying to reason with.... an overwhelmingly conservative audience on the mother of all rw stations, WABC in NY.

Kuby is wicked smart. He was just hitting his stride on AAR and all of a sudden there's Jerry Springer again.

Yuck.

9. I gave up on AAR in NYC with their tin cans and a string station
Moved to Sirius, although I do sometimes listen on an internet feed.
