The truth between the liberal vs. conservative battle
Edited on Sun May-31-09 08:27 AM by AllentownJake
Government is big business. You don't spend trillions of dollars every year without touching a few major corporations.

The pure conservatives and pure liberals are equally as bad for big business.

Increased taxation is no good for them and a cut in Government spending is no good for them either. What is a whore of the major multi-national corporations that control this country to do.

The solution, the moderates, who should really get together and found their own political party based on whoring for major corporations and taking the most wishy-washy stance on the social issue of the day. The one that lets them straddle the fence well enough to not piss off either the social conservatives or the social liberals too badly and make them appear reasoned. They aren't, its generally a pure political calculation.

A moderate Republican is a far better tool of big business, he can increase their contracts in the name of privatization and fiscal responsibility, it fits the ideology. Business always does it better than the Government can.

A moderate democrat is a good tool as well. In one way a better tool because the moderate democrat can hide behind the democratic party label when they act pro-business and claim it is best for the people.

A truly fiscal republican, not good. Would cut a lot of that spending that flows through their organizations. A truly liberal democrat, not good will increase their taxes and demand more accountability of the services they provide. May even let more smaller businesses bid for contracts. They are the ones in charge now, Always will be. Thanks to our "moderate" politicians.

That is why, when you watch the MSM Moderate is always touted as a great thing! The "moderate" democrats in the Senate are killing us. Their marriage to the corptocracy is full and yet they can hide behind the democratic party brand as one that fights for the common people and not business interest.

When you get to the moderates, your really just rooting for a blue or red team. Their ideologies and marriage to their corporate bosses is complete. They are wearing red and blue jerseys, but they really are on one team. The people who pay for their campaigns and the people who reward them or their family members with lucrative positions after or while they are in office.
