Libertarian just suggested all producers go GALT for a time.
Beck didnt acknowledge it, but this fast talker suggested that all the small businessmen, all the hard working, take their money elsewhere for a I didnt catch whether it was a day or a week. The Libertarians might just resign themselves to Texas and Secede. This guy said he was the VP candidate for Libertarians. I have debated several Liberta. recently that invoked this plan for political success. Going Galt is becoming more and more their fantasy. The usual libertarian vehicle is becoming recognized as fatally wounded. They are increasingly moving towards showing us pain, through their economic wherewithall. They remind me of the ruling classes in Venezuela that act as luddites, screwing anything up they can to make Chavez's reforms fail. At what point is going galt, and acting for the economic failure of your countrymen as a whole, become treason? I fear we will find out. Beck was preaching the cleansing quality of bankruptsy, both for GM and everyone else. I guess next, he will tout the benefits of families all living on the streets, when they go bankrupt. They are feeling very encouraged by all the ill winds about. Almost giddy. How do we deal with anti-americans? Especially if he is your boss?

3. RE: Subject
I suggested to Libetarians to join the GOP, don't ever do that if you want to keep your balls, they'll get in your face and scream hell.

4. It's never a guy who actually owns a business who says such things.
The whole notion of "going Galt" is a teen fantasy. If you shut down a small business, which is 90% of business, it dries up and blows away quickly.

5. I don't think Ayn Rand was talking about "small businessmen"
She was talking about "creators" - the entrepreneurs, engineers, artists and especially architects.

I don't think she gave a damn about workers.

6. That's for sure....
She was way to skewed toward the mythical idealist who can wallow in self-aggrandizement for the sake of self-aggrandizement. The ultimate pre-teen fantasy...

I'll show them, I'll hold my breath.

And if the workers should unite an go on strike, kattie bar the door cause all hell will be unleashed.
