FBI releases child molester after he tells them he will bring in accomplice, is now a fugitive
The FBI is seeking a 52-year-old Madison County man who investigators say admitted producing sexually explicit videos of children.

Lowell W. "Dusty" Thompson of 253 New St. in Mount Sterling fled when investigators released him after he promised he would help them track down the man who paid him for the videos, the FBI said in an affidavit filed in federal court.

Thompson was charged Thursday in U.S. District Court in Columbus with producing and distributing child pornography. A federal warrant was issued for his arrest, said FBI Special Agent Harry Trombitas.

After they messed up the investigation of a particularly gruesome double murder back in the midwest in the late 1970s, a friend said she finally knew what F.B.I. stood for.

"Fucking Bunch of Idiots."


It appears to apply in this instance as well.
