West Virginia coal mine explosion kills 25

Twenty-five miners are now known to have died and four are missing in an accident at a West Virginia coal mine.

The worst mine disaster in the US since 1984 was caused by an underground explosion at Upper Big Branch, about 30 miles (50km) south of Charleston.

It happened at about 1500 (1900 GMT) in a chamber 330m (1,000ft) below ground, mine owner Massey Energy Company said.

The rescue operation has been suspended because rising methane gas levels have heightened the risk of another blast.

2. Given how corporations now have personhood, will the owners and mangers of the mine face ..

manslaughter charges just like any regular person would whomed killed, due to gross negligence? Fines dont cut it. I would like to see Jail time for those in charge and the owners.

It would be nice for once to have some corporate responsibility.
(I know, I can dream cant I.)

Hartmann just played a couple quotes from the guy. "Gore and Reid and Pelosi are just plain crazy. They're socialists. I don't believe in climate change."

His company has received 3 thousand citations for safety violations. He needs to be prosecuted for pre-meditated murder
