MSNBC Returns to Sirius XM
After being dropped by XM radio in Sept. 2006, MSNBC will soon be back on the airwaves on Sirius XM. Beginning April 12, MSNBC will be carried on SIRIUS channel 90 and XM channel 120.

"We're thrilled to have MSNBC's programming available to SIRIUS XM's millions of listeners," said Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC in a press release. "We know our viewers will appreciate the ability to take MSNBC with them when they're away from the TV, from 'Morning Joe' on the way to the office to our opinion programs on the way home to breaking news anytime."

The Sirius XM weekday schedule will begin with "Way Too Early" with Willie Geist at 5amET and end with "The Rachel Maddow Show" at 9pmET.

5. I'm glad they're back, but why were they dropped in the first place?

6. Well, I'm sure XM would never admit this was the case, but
...they dropped the channel shortly after Keith Olbermann's program started calling out the Chimpministration on their bullshit. XM had a total of ONE "Liberal" channel, as opposed to at least 6 right wing channels at the time, so it was clear where their bias was.

Hell, even now when they restore MSNBC, the only show they mention by name is "Morning Jo(k)e", despite the fact that subscribers who have been demanding the return of the channel are no doubt doing so because of the evening lineup (Ed/Tweety/Keith/Rachel)

7. I might have to re-subscribe to get Ed, Keith and Rachel.
But my final decision will come after I see who they hire to replace David Shuster.
