I've always considered myself "fiscally conservative"...a supporter of free markets, but also socially liberal and one who sees how the government plays a positive role as either a safety net for those who are struggling and suffering and regulate and play arbeiter to keep the markets free and competition flowing. The New Deal set this country on that path that was up-ended beginning with Raygun in the 80s and sent into hyperdrive during the booosh regime.
He spoke truths...especially his references to Greenspan's beliefs in Ayn Rand and Milton Friedman. Unfortunately, our politicians look for the easy way rather than rocking the boat...especially with an economy still mired in debt.
