Should the right to healthcare become the 28th amendment?
Surely more worthy than some that have been proposed.

1. Maybe they should have just tried to amend the
Constitution in the first place? Then they couldn't claim the bill is unconstitutional.

2. FDR's Second Bill of Rights should be the 28th Amendment.
Though if I had my way, the Constitution would be rewritten so that the Bill of Rights and the Second Bill of Rights gained preeminence at the beginning, not all the boring government structure stuff.

3. Didn't the founders EXPECT the constitutional convention to be a regularly occuring event?
I think I once read that they expected "the people" to come together from time to time, to tweak & re-do the document...to fit the times..

4. Would that be the first right that requires others to pay for your bills?

it seems alot of consitutional rights don't cost money.....And someone has to pay health care costs as workers have a right to get paid and should not be forced to work for free.
