Do you all remember the controversy about NOW's defense

of Palin during the campaign? The Palingates blog has been following up on this and discovery that principals in the National Organization of Women were paid by SarahPAC. It's all pretty interesting if you want to dig into it.

for any respectability they have earned. As for the SarahPAC, nothing would surprise me there. I think morals or ethics aren't a big part of her/their shtick.

...It makes a lot of sense when you follow the money.

There are still a lot of HC supporters who can't stand the President. It's too bad they don't follow the lead of Hillary who is doing a superb job for this administration. That is the difference between being an American citizen and a spoiled child.

I'm sure the teabaggers will welcome them with open arms...

but I do not believe that they are linked to the new faction or to NOW as a body. I am not one to defend PUMA bigotbots but there are some errors in this story.

Firstly, it was individuals from NOW that endorsed Palin in the run up to the Presidential Election, not NOW as a body. Now originally endorsed Hillary for the Primaries and Barack Obama for the General Election. This however was too much for PUMA bigotbots though. As a result some PUMA groups attempted a coup at the NOW General Meeting, this they tried to arrange through the PUMA blogs, NoQuarter being one of the blogs. They were not however able to run their own slate, so they decided to campaign against Kim Gandy.

After the meeting, PUMA bigotbot Amy Siskind declared on NoQuarter and at the New Palin Agenda that they had successfully pulled off a coup.

The winning slate made very clear that they did not want to be associated with PUMA bigots.
On the New Agenda blog, the PUMA bigots were told quite clearly to shove it. The new group wanted nothing to do with them and one of the reasons for that was because of the New Agenda attitude to race relations and abortion. Diana Castaneda, of the NOW Combatting Racism Task Force, made it clear – The New Agenda can get lost.
