This is about a video that I had scripted and then decided to see if the DUers could help me tune it. I think we did good.

The idea is that I'm not going to win triangulating these issues. So, just out fundamental the fundamentalist I'm running against. I think I've done a good job.

I didn't get any response from the GLBT (not even you) nor the pro-choice folks.

Perhaps posting it in pro-choice and glbt might get more views by those groups.

The base for the script came from canvasing when a fundamentalist launched into a diatribe about how homosexuality was an abomination and abortion was ... evil. I really didn't have a response to it other than I disagree, but I have one now.

I'm glad we are both Christians, the difference is that I simply cannot condemn either of those two groups. I think it's a test of our compassion and empathy.

Am I right in assuming this will be on your website rather than aired via commercial tv? I don't take offense at the glbt/pro-choice phrasing in the first part, but again need to watch the whole thing to be able to give decent feedback.

It is the obligation of everyone to accept, as equals, all that abide by the law. Is it an obligation to empathize? I am sure you have done a lot of work on the wording, but is it an obligation for the majority?

They get all worked up over these social distractions and the banks are robbing us blind. We need to be focused on JOBS which is THE solution to the foreclosure crisis. Next, is education and energy. There's no room for social BS.

The elected officials that use these distractions are successful and have to be answered in a way that the religious people can understand; at least the independents.

To be a Democratic candidate in S FL is to be automatically labeled (as I was), so here's the answer; the ball is now in their court. Let them argue not-forgiveness.

Also, empathy is required. Take me, I'm neither a woman nor GLBT, but I can understand that living a lie to stay alive is not acceptable. I cannot imagine the panic of a woman that faces a life much like "Les Misérables" just to satisfy some fundamentalists moronic dream of outlawing abortion. I can empathize and being a WASP male it is my responsibility; and, I project that onto the rest of us. Basically, get over it. It's going to happen, when is the only question left.
