Damn, Chris just dissed Liberace real bad....
Comparing Palin to him...

Liberace was so good he made it as a villain on the old Batman series.

Sarah plain and terse couldn't pass the audition.

Chris, I think you owe Liberace an apology.

He got that one right.

I thought he was sweet. Palin is a monster...

5. Why is he tickling Liberace's ivories?
And Palin's fancy pageant walking and flute tooting don't hold a candle to Liberace's piano extravaganzas.

12. Remember "Sincerely Yours"?
Edited on Tue Apr-13-10 04:45 PM by tonysam
Probably not. It was Liberace's dramatic film debut--and farewell. Liberace, a concert pianist, faces going deaf while at the same time fighting off the love of two women--Joanne Dru and Dorothy Malone.

It isn't quite as bad as some make it, however.

17. About a year or so ago, somebody posted the movie on YouTube
Edited on Tue Apr-13-10 04:55 PM by tonysam
for a few weeks before taking it down. I downloaded it and put it on my iPod.

It was out on VHS, but to my knowledge it has never been out on DVD although Amazon has some "all-region" versions on its website.

I used to watch Liberace's 15-minute syndicated program when it aired many, many years ago.

In case you never get a chance to see the movie, here is a blow-by-blow account:

Sincerely Yours Review

23. I do remember Bugs Bunny's impersonation of Liberace, with that candelabra
it's supposed to be somewhere in this cartoon:

"Wideo Wabbit" (1956)

10. How dare Matthews pee on Liberace's grave like that!
Several years back I watched a PBS special about Liberace. The man was so awesome and talented. Now some self-righteous absent-minded cable TV political pundit tries to be funny by referencing both a talentless politician and a talented pianist in the same sentence.

13. Unlike the Wasilla Quitta, Liberace had real talent
He was also a helluva nice guy, as opposed to the shrieking harpy in question.

Sarah Palin: A half-term bigoted quitter.
