Finally, some intelligence at the Pentagon!
They've brought in the Muppets!

What are military leaders doing paling around with Muppets?

"Sesame Street" stars Jesse, Elmo and Rosita stopped by the Pentagon on Tuesday for a special screening of their special, "When Families Grieve," which airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on PBS stations nationwide.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen and Deputy Secretary of Defense William J. Lynn attended the screening and posed for pictures with the stars and Sesame Workshop President Gary Knell (The photo above comes courtesy of the Defense Department, via Mullen's Facebook page).

The program addresses the difficulty children face when a parent dies -- an issue of special importance to the U.S. military. An estimated 2.5 million American children under the age of 18 have experienced the death of a parent and as of March, estimates suggested that the 5,398 U.S. military deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan had left 3,779 children without a parent and 2,669 spouses widowed, according to Sesame Workshop.

The show stars various "Street" characters and "CBS Evening News" anchor Katie Couric, whose husband, Jay Monahan, died of cancer in 1998, leaving their two daughters without a father.

Following the program, Sesame Workshop plans to distribute free resources to military families and the general public coping with the death of a parent.

1. There once was a congressman and there was an idiot, but then I repeat myself.
Same thing goes for the blood thirsty Pentagon war gremlins.
