TYLER (KYTX) - Larry North stands accused of planting 36 explosive devices across East Texas. Investigators say they found messages on several of the devices. They're not saying what those messages were, but do say they expressed hatred for the United States government.

It's one of many new details on the investigation, and Larry North, that was released during this morning news conference.

"These devices, over 30 in number, have caused fear in this community nothing short of domestic terrorism," U.S. Attorney, Brit Featherston, said.

36 devices, found in 23 locations across East Texas, some at post offices, others at homes and businesses. All were allegedly placed in those locations by 52 year old North.

First Assistant U.S. Attorney Brit Featherston said North had been under surveillance for about a week. He said North was observed dropping a device off at a mail box in the Tanglewood Shopping Center in Tyler on Wednesday.

3. He's not a good old boy. He's a psycho.
Tyler is the center of Texas right wing GOP politics, the heart of former Dixiecrat territory.

There's a lot of good old boys in Texas, and most of them are good old boys, whose politics range from Jim Hightower to Charlie Wilson on the left to Tea baggers on the right.

This guy is a nut who made pipe bombs and dropped them in area mailboxes. Good old boys don't do that. They drink beer, go hunting, watch football, and tell stories.

6. No, I didn't know
even though NBC's fabulous morning news show, Today, has been droning in the background all morning. 'Important' news tends to get repeated frequently, but I haven't heard jack shit about this domestic terrorist and his attempted bombing spree.

7. Since it is terrorism
can he put put in Gitmo without any form of representative like the other people. That is til it is disbanded. Good choice I think..let him know how it feels to be stuck away like a lot of innocent guys were, altho he doesn't appear to be innocent.

We're facing a ticking-time-bomb scenario to find the other devices before the American Fatherland is attacked and good church-going WASPs are killed. Break out the car battiers and jumper cables, and kidnap his kids and threaten to kill them with a .45 right in front of him unless he spills his guts.

And, of course, when he says there aren't any more... don't believe him.
