EDIT: Obama at 49%... dang!!! When do we start driving the narrative?
Edited on Wed Apr-14-10 04:15 PM by AzNick
These idiots on the right and in the media have managed to turn Obama's public opinion to a new low while he's been doing a pretty good job so far.

I do not agree with all his decisions, but I believe he is getting us out of a major recession and got a major healthcare bill to pass. There are some major policy changes, especially on how to deal with the rest of the world, which now is starting to deal with us as if we're not a bunch of yeehas.

Where is all the energy from 2008???

Are we going to let the right rewrite history as it happens?

Certainly not!

Edit: 44% was for his management of HCR reform

6. My question is: when do we start driving the narrative?
I believe now would be the time to start getting energized.

5. huh?
where do you find 44% approval for Obama? Putting up a number without a source is kind of like putting it up as flamebait.

8. Ok mistake... 49% but 44% on healthcare... Still, it's not normal!!!
They managed to turn HCR (which does not go as far as what most of use would have liked) into something negative.

They are driving the narrative. When do we do something about it?!?

9. They keep trying to compare Obama to what Bush had 8 years ago but ....
Bush was riding sky high thanks to Terrorists and 9/11. So you really can't consider that the true sense of how popular Bush was. Everyone was just all gungho because we had gone thru such a national tragedy.

11. you can drive the narrative all you like
people will still remain stupid and refuse to acknowledge their own interests

he won't get any credit for saving the world from a global depression even though that's what he obviously did - well, historians in fifty years time will give him credit, but he won't get any soon.

The average voter is a damned fool, I'll bet he loses in 2012, though hopefully he'll leave behind some worthwhile policy legacies.
