1. They do the popular ones on cspan3. I have to watch it on my computer because
few cable co's carry cspan3. I've watched many great ones that way. They covered all the health care committee meetings, and I think all of the hearings with the banker CEO's.

If a hearing is early enough, regular cspan or 2 will cover them until the house & senate convene.

7. It is a Verizon network
It is 100% fiber optic, at least that is what they say. But I get cspan3, and I get MSNBC in HD. But the internet is blazing fast. It is relatively new, they had to tear up the neighborhood to lay the cable. Well, tear it up is a little strong, but they did have to lay new cables. So far, I don't have any complaints. I have had no down time at all, but I have only had it for 2 months.

2. Sometimes if the Senate is not in session
Or at lunch, but not usually. CSPAN3 usually shows hearings. Some you have to watch on a web link.

5. Echo the other answers. As established C-SPAN 1 and 2 cover House and Senate floor sessions.
C-SPAN 3 often covers big issue hearings. 1 & 2 will drop them into programming if a break in floor activity.

Things change all the time.

You can also search and find committee hearings that have already aired and watch them at your leisure.
