I'm confused. If the tea partiers tend to be "more" educated
how does one explain all their misspelled protest signs and/or bad grammar?

Or is this a testament to the quality of our educational system?

1. Sorry, but the MSM is only pretending the tea partiers are intelligent.
I've seen no evidence of their education.

3. They purposely misspell as a fake-out, to fool you into assuming they're common.
Not the well-educated, sophisticated, cosmopolitan, cerebrally-enhanced beings that they truly are.

:sarcasm:

5. Look, all this polling information is self-reported, including ...
affiliation with the "Tea Party" movement.

In reality, we see in election after election that the most highly educated Americans vote overwhelmingly for Democrats. For the 2008 election, the category "college graduate or more" voted for Obama by a margin of 53-45. If that question had been "post-graduate education" the spread would have been infinitely higher.

6. They very well could be more educated but they seem to lack common sense
They have such hatred burning inside them that they are unable to connect what is going on with the Obama administration and how some of his policies are actually benefitting them.

Scary

17. There can only be one explanation.

It's either;

a) Whoever arrived at this assumption is full of shit.

b) Whoever made this assertion is a T-bagger enabler.

or

c) A combination of a) & b).

Take your pick.

18. Or that they continually use socialism, fascism and other isms
at the same time?

Or perhaps the misspellings and all were merely an ingenious plan to make them look like idjits, when they're really the best and brightest, but I think not.

19. They do exist, unfortunately
My cousin in Dallas and his wife both have advanced degrees and very high paying jobs. They're very proud of the fact that they're organizers of the Tea Nuts in Texas. They're also religious nuts, although that's neither here nor there.

I think there are two types of Baggers: the ignorant trash who have the classic signs, people who have been feeling stomped by globalization and bank bailouts and falling wages; and then the more affluent, educated types who just don't want to pay their fair share in taxes. They've jumped on this bandwagon because they know they'll have a lot of idiotic followers who don't realize that lower taxes for the rich shifts the tax burden to the working and middle class. It's a chump game, totally.

who got all 12 correct on that political quiz floating around GD. I sincerely doubt "college grad" Palin could do the same! :D

Perhaps all those highly educated Baggers were "educated" at "colleges" like Liberty.
