4. And if nobody is shocked?
Look, you and I can discuss the merits of keeping guns out of the capitol building, and that's fine. I remember how legislators started carrying pistols into Capitol Hill just before the South seceded and the Civil War started. Tensions were very high after one Northern Senator was badly beaten by a Southern rival under the dome, and that sort of thing never should have been allowed.

11. Re guns in banks..
Only a small portion of states that have open carry prohibit carry in banks by statute, but many banks have signs prohibiting such.

a metal detector, emptied my pockets and got "wanded down". For traffic court. But they let people into the House Gallery with their guns?

Yeah this makes a lot of sense. Although I guess maybe it's a fashion thing. I mean, when your beer gut hangs out so far that you can't see your own dick to pee, maybe strapping a piece on helps you feel like less of a fool.

18. Nope - caring so much about his body shape makes YOU a fool.
I have never understand why people who preen themselves on how progressive they are and how tolerant they are assume that body mass is inversely proprtional to intellect, or limited to those with whom they disagree. Michael Moore to name but one would have to lose a few sizes to look like this guy. He is also a fool who should be judged based on his looks to you?

If you don't agree with him on the wisdom of carrying guns into legislative venues then argue that on the merits. Trying to pretend that his level of adiposity is in any way relevant only makes one of you look foolish - and it's not him.

27. Nope you made a joke about a man you disagree with and ASSUMED he was a moron because he's fat
Why else would he have a "need" to look less like a fool because he is fat if you didn't think him to be a fool? There is nothing in the picture or any other source that would indicate whether he is either profoundly stupid or incredibly intelligent, but simply disagrees with you on the subject of where he should carry guns.

Maybe your jokes should actually be funny if you want them to be seen as jokes. There are plenty of funny jokes about fat people, and I'm more than capable of laughing at them. Simply calling them a fool for being fat does not come close to qualifying.

30. Actually I "assumed" he was a moron
because he thinks the high point of "protest" in this country is to walk around with a fucking firearm strapped to his waist like he lives in the 1880's. If you honestly believe that there is nothing in a picture of a redneck, walking around in a State Senate chamber with a gun strapped to his waist, that is "profoundly stupid" then you and I have nothing more to discuss.

And BTW the guy who posted above you thought it was funny. So... you didn't get the joke, but others did.

And the Michigan legislators are fools as well as nuts to allow this to happen. They should all be denied death benefits if they are killed while in the building.

Michigan are unemployed, (like Joe the Plumber), so, instead of looking for work, they go wear their guns in the state capital.

Who is EVER AGAIN going to hire someone who does something as dumb as that???
