Could it be that the right is trying to replicate how the left treated Bush

If you remember, when Bush was President there were a bunch of protests of him and the Iraq war in particular.

There were good reasons to protest Bush:

He stole the 2000 election

The war in Iraq

He did many things in secret

The reasons to protest Obama are kind of flimsy so they have to employ craziness.

He disgraced the office, and we were justified in our mutual disrespect.

Because bush was so bad, the right has been drooling at the opportunity to be even more disrespectful. bush damaged this country in so many ways.

4. No. Mostly they are just scared racists.

They protest the encroachment of the Federal Government even though the government has grown more under Republican administrations. They protest intrusion into their lives, when they want to dictate who can marry, what women do with their bodies, and impose their specific religion on everyone. They say that the country is changing. The change they fear is that everyone will actually have equal opportunity and will actually have to earn their advantages.

They are scared that minority groups and women are gaining the slightest foothold in true equality and it drives them crazy.

5. Nope, this was a strategy determined long ago for any Dem officeholder

and of course the President in particular.
Had Gore actually been allowed to serve, we would have seen the same lies, distortions, omissions, threats etc......
