Since SCOTUS ruling on Corp Personhood... Elliot Spitzer on the Short List?
Edited on Thu Apr-15-10 07:00 PM by ElsewheresDaughter
We need a Spitzer to counter TRAKS ...when we file for its repeal...and/or the impeachment of TRAKS.

TRAKS = Thomas, Roberts, Alito, Kennedy and Scalia

I personally would love to see Harold Koh take the seat.

3. really??
this is just silly. Spitzer could never get confirmed. He admitted to committing a crime. And whether or not one thinks what he did should be a crime, is wholly beside the point.

4. Spitzer doesn't respect the rule of law.

And I'm not talking about his hooker problem.

He wrote an essay urging the president to use the purchasing power of the Fed to manipulate gun manufacturers if he couldn't get legislation passed. I hate Spitzer.

5. I think John Edwards is looking for work!
Spitzer is a self-confessed criminal.

No matter how much we may admire some of his principles, he is not suitable for the high court.

Maybe in his next lifetime.

13. Hiring a prostitute is a violation of NY criminal code.
That makes Mr. Spitzer a criminal.

There is of course ZERO chance of your proposal.

I'd like to see him replace Holder, though.

7. The Spitzer who stopped attacking Wall Street when he got their money to...
run for Governor?

That Spitzer?

Like Giuliani, he ran on an invented self-serving reputation and would have been found out eventually if his hubris didn't catch him sooner.

15. Again a suggestion which won't likely happen and shouldn't happen because if
Obama did it he would be a laughing stock for doing it. Secondly, certainly we can find someone qualified who didn't break the law and have to resign in disgrace?
