I do not think for one minute that the teagaggers
are educated or wealthy as has been reported.
I do believe they are habitual liars and they have no connection to reality.
I hope someone challenges the pollster who came up with this crap.

1. I was annoyed by how easily Tweety accepted those suspicious stats
Maybe they are confusing Tea Partiers with Tea Baggers. I'm sure there are a few affluent Tea Partiers who were around PRIOR to 2008 and Sarah Palin. They, however, are NOT the ones at the rallies. All it takes is a 5 second scan of the crowds to see that.

2. Well isn't that the real tea bagger way? Lie, invent and distort everything so they become more then
they really are? I never met any conservative that saw themselves as nothing less then gods gift to human kind and think everyone bow down and worship their greatness.

4. +1
The teabaggers I met were proudly clueless and dishonest about their backgrounds.

One I met for example claimed to be a lawyer, but couldn't recite his bar number!

7. I knew one that bragged she was a self made woman........she married a business owner who then sent
her to school to learn the business he inherited from his father. The really funny thing was said business averages around $50,000 profit a year, yet like good old Joe the fake miss nit wit claims her business does over $250,000 profit a year and she handles all the tax matters for the business as well as goes out with the work crews.

6. Agree. That was the biggest bunch of horseshit I'd heard in months.
And I am flabbergasted (should I be surprised though?) that the MSM so quickly gobbles that up as fact without even wondering if it were remotely true.

out in the street. You wouldn't catch the real leaders of that bullshit @ a podunk rally.

They're dumbass fucking losers. Nothing could be more obvious.

It's a bullshit poll. The testicle garglers probably lied to the pollsters. They do lie about everything.

They want less government ... except for Medicare and Social Security. You know, when it actually benefits them.

13. Educated, wealthy people don't generally blame their problems on "elites".
I have no idea where they pulled that claim from, but having seen a couple of these Teabagger crowds, I don't buy it.

19. thank god people don't lie on surveys.
I mean wouldn't it be just awful if people misrepresents them selves in random sampling. It would be so wrong to put misleading or false information in something as reliable as a survey or poll. \:sarcasm:

21. Why would they lie on a survey about their socieconomic status? Joe the Plummer didn't lie.
Edited on Fri Apr-16-10 01:18 AM by peopleb4money
Oh wait, he did lie. He didn't have a plumber's license, nor did he make over 100 grand a year like he claimed. He wasn't even employed.

20. Through the years I've learned to never underestimate your enemy ...
If you treat them as undereducated poor fools, they will sneak up on you and ruin the midterm and the next Presidential election.

Always treat your enemy with more respect then he deserves and you make it difficult for him to surprise you.

One thing to remember is that no matter who the Tea Baggers are or how rich or intelligent the are, they are likely to vote and they are unlikely to vote for Democrats who are currently in office. In close elections they will make a difference.

Hopefully they will decide to convince Sarah Palin to run as their candidate in 2012. They will pull enough votes from the Republican candidate to guarantee another term for Obama.

28. Quite possibly ...
although they have to be careful as I understand that a lot of Tea Party members are upset at both parties and some want to vote everybody out.

If you throw a jar of gasoline on a fire hoping to make a bigger fire, don't stand too close.

22. The MSM is only trying to make the public believe that the Teabaggers are a silk purse
Edited on Fri Apr-16-10 01:33 AM by political_Dem
when in actuality, these seditionists on Klan parade are a sow's ear.

Want to know the obvious clue that the MSM is filled with nitwits?

That the talking heads of the media would call these bigots educated when most of the signs in the crowd are composed of bad grammar and misspelled words!

Now the people in the MSM are supposed to be trained in writing and editing--that is if they themselves went to journalism school. And they can't catch something so glaring as that?

So naturally their educational level and wealth are going to be greater than the general public which includes a significant number of beaten down poor people and minorities. And some are probably lying on the poll (which is probably a secret government plot to take away their guns!).

And obviously have nothing better to do than to ride around disrupting Town Hall meetings, rallying on command from their backers and generally hobnobbing with the rabble.

Yeah sure...

27. There does seem to be a reality disconnect with these folks.
Agree.

And at some point or another you'd think they'd begin to see that not all that many people are attending these events, and that the ones who are showing up are angry-without-awareness. They're just angry.

I don't know what percentage of the Baggers are highly educated but from the looks of things, I'd guess that it's not all that many.
