Where Were the Teabaggers WHEN...?
Edited on Fri Apr-16-10 02:53 PM by Rage Inc.
They've suddenly discovered the Dangers of Deficit Spending! Where were they when George W. Bush was turning the Clintonian surplus into the biggest debt of all time?

They are forever talking about "liberty" and "tyranny." They seem worried about "having our freedoms stripped away." Odd. I didn't see any of them protesting what Ashcroft was doing to the Constitution.

They decry Obama's "socialism." I guess I must have missed their marches and rallies against the Wall Street Socialism and the Wealthfare programs of the previous Administration.

Ain't it nice to see what Klanspeople look like sans hood???

1. The idea during the Bush and Reagan administrations was to bankrupt the government
in order to kill any social programs. They do it by giving tax breaks to the rich and spending like a drunken sailor. Then the deficit becomes an issue when a Dem gets elected.

3. I always thought that was the point of Republicans running up big deficits.
Imagine what Obama could have done if he had inherited an America that was in the same shape as when Bushco took office. Their point is to make sure that never happens.

5. Yep yep. If there's no money to pay for anything...
After all, they think they don't need the services that we do. They don't need public schools, they send their kids to private school.

They don't need the police. They got gated communities and private security forces, etc. etc. etc.

6. That is too funny
After the polls closed in '04, I asked one voter why she voted for Bush if she disliked his policies so much. She said that, since he made the mess, HE should be the one to clean it up.:eyes:

There's no point even trying to reason with some folks . . .
