Rachael Maddow, PhD is our generations' Edward Murrow!
And to boot she's not a Journalist! She's a scholar, an expert in all things political (she holds a PhD in this subject, from Oxford I think) and for me, the most trusted name in news....

3. I will always love Olbermann, for he is highly comedic and was a lone voice throughout much of the
B*sh years on serious news. But, one cannot ignore how BRILLIANT this fine human being, Maddow is.

And 99% of the time Maddow can't be manipulated or swayed....

Rachel is sharp, cute & a bit goofy and I love & enjoy watching her each night, her informative no bullshit, pounding of the republicans duplicity, lies and absolute conniving, made up hateful, greedy shit is usually a thing of beauty to watch unfold on her show.

I'm sure Rachel sees herself as a 'bit goofy' at times (purposely, to lighten up and add personality to her show) as I put no negative connotations on one being 'goofy'.

And YES, as subjective as the word is, I find Rachel indeed very 'cute' and adorable and sweet!

15. She does use humor, but its in that "laugh because you can" sort of way
Kind of like you would say, if an ICBM carrying a hot load was headed to your hometown, and you had 5 minutes left.

At this point, what else can you do? Humor is all we have left.

I respect & admire Rachel. Michael Moore said she is a national treasure & he is right...

Rachel may not be an official journalist, but she is a better journalist than 99% of the ones who claim to be. She is very thorough, knowledgeable, and she has a brilliant sense of humor. She has so much empathy, integrity, honesty and compassion as well.

I think I am her biggest fan, but that could start a 'who is the biggest Rachel fan' contest.

Don't get me wrong - KO is awesome, but he's only one man. He doesn't always know where to look.

That's where Maddow comes in - she knows where to look for the real information. KO knew this and brought her into the MSNBC establishment for this very reason - and we should be grateful to both.

If there is one thing I learned from Grad School, its how to find out. You don't learn an actual dates and facts in grad school, but you do learn where to find them.

:nuke: She does this o'lady's heart good. Girlfriend ain't askeered o NOBODY! And I mean N-O-B-O-D-Y!!! Indeed, she has THEM on the run. It is truly a joy to behold. I am continually impressed by the level of her guests and how she and Bill highlight young, BEWUSSTE talent in her circle.

However, let me complain that these constant "comparisons" chafe a bit. Rachel is not Edward. Macy is not Ella. Barry is not Jack. Trajectory changes with the Zeitgeist. ;-)
