You are very right. The fact that Bill Clinton is not a favorite of the Tea Party Movement is just more proof that this group is what Democrats have always said they were; a group of people angry that a Democrat was elected president. Also, the fact that Sarah Palin is a darling of this group is yet another fact that shows this group is just a group of people not at all concerned with wasteful spending. Sarah Palin, as all of you most likely know, is the former governor of Alaska who almost accepted a $450 million bridge to nowhere. In addition, she was governor during part of the term of Senator Ted Stevens. Before Senator Stevens was kicked out of office he was one of the biggest wasteful spenders in Congress. As far as I know Governor Palin did not refuse any of the money Stevens sent to Alaska. Moreover, these people never protested during the Bush Administration while President Bush was adding $4 trillion to the national debt. In addition, I do not recall these people protesting when President Bush was signing the bailout bill even though it was loaded with about $100+ billion of wasteful spending. I realize it is expected that President Obama will add $4 trillion to the national debt in 4 years, but if they people were really against wasteful spending they would have been having these protests during the Bush Administration.
In addition, not only did Bill Clinton balance the budget, but he also reduced the size of government. On the other hand both Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush increased the size of government. So if the Tea Partiers really were opposed to wasteful spending and wanted smaller government they would be big fans of President Clinton and extremely opposed to Governor Palin. However, the Tea Partiers have the exact opposite policy: they love Palin and are at least lukewarm to Clinton.
It would be nice if some individuals in the media would ask a few members of the Tea Party Movement to explain why they like Palin so much even though she supported wasteful spending. The media individual should also ask them to discuss their feelings about presidents Clinton, Reagan, and Bush.
