Mika's meltdown against Joan Walsh today has been scrubbed from the Morning Joe website!

Went there to see it again and it has magically gone down the Orwellian memory hole!

Mika's outburst today was a shocker...if you didn't see it live, you probably won't ever see it.

I wonder if there aren't some media commentators who will write something about this. It was quite a tantrum! Joan's jaw dropped in surprise and the producer told Mika to go the next segment fast...

I didn't see the show. Can you summarize?

What happened, exactly? What did she get so upset about?

left. She wanted to know who they were, "give me a name" and Mika got vituperative "You know who they are...I'm not going to say...it's staring you in the face." Then Mika goes into a whiny voice, mocking what Joan had just said and right in front of Joan who was sitting across from her. Joan's face showed utter shock and her jaw dropped. Chris, the producer, urged Mika to go to the next segment...he had his head in his hands...Halperin, Geist and Scab had gone utterly silent. I wanted to see it again because I can't recall the next few moments but I was in shock at home watching it. In a bit, things recovered but it was some show for those of us who had seen it...I've seen Mika get snarky but nothing with this degree of sheer spite and red hot anger...

The script readds, that all partisans are equal. Joan screwed that up. And didnt take a cue. Mika handles all cues, from slugging Joe in the arm, to kicks under the table to Geist. Gentle prods to guests. Subtle cutoffs. Joan pushed on. Mika was OUT OF CONTROL. A trait that is becoming more clear.

However, Olbermann doesn't ask his viewers/listeners to take up arms. He doesn't say he's doing "God's work." He doesn't lie. He isn't racist. He can spell. He doesn't weigh as much as a house. He isn't crazy-eyed (except when he's doing Howard Beale), he doesn't quit half-way through a segment, he doesn't raise money for something and then keep most of it, he doesn't call the Republican Party, the "Republic Party."

I'm not sure how Mika Mouse could even compare the two. Stupid idiot.

Can imagine the show is hell to do, but damn, do it professionally or get out, Mika.

or not she was telling us the full story. I mean, she sounds borderline unbalanced. I guess we can all be, but still, that's no excuse for that kind of behavior.

She bullied Savannah Guthrie so much last year that she got Joe and other people on the show bullying Savannah too. Now that Savannah has her own show with Chuck Todd that annoy Mika to no end because Savannah is on the same level now.

annoyance is Erin, the Wall Street reporter (I forget her last name). She is younger, smarter and, I am sure to Mika's great annoyance, a grad of Williams College (Mika's alma mater) where she was voted Most Likely to do well or something similar that Mika would never have had a chance to get.

Mika the Idiot is only where she is because of her last name.

She is fully aware of this.

If you don't earn it, you can't enjoy it. And she clearly NEVER earned it...

Actually, I am sure he CRINGES when he sees some of the jaw-droppingly stupid things she says and does.

Shows what that Williams education could cause! Actually, Yancey became a leading agitator for secession although he was raised in NY in a strong abolishionist family and attended Williams. His speaking tour of the North probably hurt his position on secession more than most anything else.

He did it in a nice way, but was firm that she was doing this little dance around "the left does it too" thing. "You do this, Mika" and the way he said it cut her to the bone. She was really put in her place and it was done very courteously. I think she respects Gene and hates it when he calls her out (because she knows in her heart that he is right)...

I almost never watch Mika, but sometimes I listen to her in the background in the morning, and usually she sounds at least sane. Is this completely out of character for her?

Truthfully, I wouldn't be surprised if the principals are occasionaly working through the previous night's leisure time given the amount of airtime they spend discussing various indulgences.

I'm not sure who she meant either. Maybe it was Ed? Isn't Joan on his show a lot? Maybe she was talking about Harvey, her imaginary friends. Loved the producer's face and gestures too.

She also had a weird (a different kind of weird) moment with Chuck Todd this morning. He was talking about the various possibilities for Charlie Crist's Senate run and Mika offered that there could be "another possibility" but wouldn't expand on that when he asked her. I don't have time to watch Morning Joe when it airs, but DVR the whole thing each day. Odd... usually Mika usually doesn't join in the discussion, just sighs here and there, harrumphs, or makes a little interjection expressing her annoyance or amusement. Maybe she needs to mix her drinks a bit stronger to put her in happyland. On the other hand, what's the point in Mika given that she contributes so little? Joe Scarborough's a regular Spinoza in comparison to that bump on a log. It's not that I expect a morning show to be really good--none of them are--but Morning Joe strikes me as the least-bad of the lot and I'd like them to have some standards.

I seem to remember one of their primary broadcasts with Joe winding up and Keith saying, "Oh just shut up!" off camera.

He thought he was off-mic but everyone including Joe heard it.

No one acknowledged it on camera, but Joe looked shaken. Kind of like during 2004 when he was confronted with protestors asking him about Lori Klausitus (sp?), the dead intern found in his office a few weeks before he decided not to run for re-election and his then-wife began divorce proceedings. If I could only find that video on YouTube...

I forget which DUer mentioned that at least once per show, Joe has to mention his turn in DC and he does it again here a couple of times; he's such a pompous ass.

Mika needs to get over herself - I'm glad I watched this vid; I think she's trying to be condescending to Joan, but comes across as whiney and without supporting facts.

I feel sorry for the producers of this dreck - they probably dread going to work each day with Dumb (Joe) & Dumber (Mika).
