They're yelling "smoke"!
One commentator (not me) made this excellent point regarding Palin, Beck, Limbaugh and their ilk:

"They're not yelling "fire." They're yelling "smoke," and letting the crowd in the theater draw their own conclusions, all the while acting as if their hands are clean for not yelling "fire." "

3. Great metaphor!
They can think their hands are clean all they want...but if/when something happens they'll have as much blood as the person(s) that commits the violent act.

Tiller the Baby Killer...He must be stopped...Take him out...and so on. Then when it happens they act like no one has the right to question their tactics.

I'm saying this with confidence, if something jumps off (violence) they won't get away that easy this time. People will hold them accountable, because they've been warned numerous times about how dangerous their words are.
