Tea Partiers In Tax Day Protests Try To Explain Why They're Against Obama (VIDEO)

A correspondent for New Left Media ventured out among the tea partiers during their tax day protests in Washington D.C. to interview them about what it is that's fueling their fierce opposition to to the government in general and President Obama in particular.

Suffice to say, the answers involve lots of wild-eyed claims about tyranny and socialism. Highlights include a woman gravely warning "Obama is considering banning fishing in America," as well as another dressed in a ball and chain outfit to illustrate how our liberties are being constrained.

3. That's the main thrust of all arguments I have with TeaBaggers...

"He's gunna... he plans on... he wants to!" When I redirect by asking what has he ACTUALLY DONE that makes you feel he's "radical" I get a lot of stammering and blank stares... then the obligatory change of subject.

It's like the old TV robots of the 60's and 70's when something "does not compute."

Palin says if the people want me she's going to run for president. I can say I am going to run. First she has to raise money that means all those speaking engagements can't be counted, she can't keep the money and she has to run in primaries. And most of the people polled in the country DON'T want her. So she thinks all she has to do is say she will be president and viola....make it so. Didn't I tell you dumber than a fruitcake.

5. As someone pointed out...

she has to say that to keep the press following her around breathlessly so she can get another $100,000 speaking fee so she can sell more books to her PAC so she can keep getting $100,000 speaking fee until her 15 minutes are up. Her political career is going nowhere, so she'll just milk it as long as she can.
