Chicken came home to roost for GOP candidate Lowden
In recent weeks, Republican Sue Lowden found herself on a swift trajectory to the front of the 12-person pack of Republicans competing to take on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in November.
Then, the chickens clucked.

At a candidate forum two weeks ago, Lowden gave a clumsy response to a health care question, saying costs could be driven down if patients could barter with their doctors for the price of care. It didn’t seem like a campaign-threatening gaffe at the time.

But Reid’s volunteers knew immediately they had something. They gave the video to a national blogger. Within days, comedian Jay Leno cracked a joke on the Tonight show.

This week, Lowden attempted to explain her comment by harkening back to the “olden days” when “our grandparents they would bring a chicken to the doctor” when they couldn’t afford to pay.

and soaked them in a bucket. and doctors used leeches.

maybe she wants to go back to her bucket and leeches.

oh and people died at 40.

shes nuts.

on edit:

'Worse, Democratic volunteers keep showing up at Lowden’s campaign offices with cages of live chickens.

On Thursday, the Democrats intended to bring a goat, and chickens, to Lowden’s Reno headquarters. But the goat locked itself inside its owner’s truck. With no time to call a locksmith, they hurried to meet the television cameras with only chickens in hand.'

I WANT VIDEO!!!

4. I wonder if she'll take the stagecoach to DC or
does she own a donkey or horse to ride? If she could get hold of that goat, maybe she could hitch it to a goat cart ride in it to DC.

10. Actually, leaches are coming back into favor. However, she's still a complete lunkhead.
If we pass a somewhat decent financial reform bill, I think Harry may retain his seat after all.

like megsy (whitman-R) here in california, she's trying to buy the seat.

At least these idiots are pumping money into the economy...I think megsy is up to 40 million spent and has nothing but obnoxious commercials to show for it.

7. I can no longer tell if Republican pols are this stupid or just playing to their base.
Either way, this is not a Party capable of governing this country.
