Motion to Amend the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Citizens United (Corporate personhood)
We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Citizens United, and move to amend our Constitution to:

•Firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.

•Guarantee the right to vote and to participate, and to have our vote and participation count.

•Protect local communities, their economies, and democracies against illegitimate "preemption" actions by global, national, and state governments.

I'm not a fan of on-line petitions, as I don't like the ease of information-gathering/surveillance inherent in them, & I'm doubtful about their effectiveness.

But this is something that could be done on the local level as well: make an info sheet, copy petitions, stand in front of the post office & collect signatures.

mail one to your friends.

2. A very important effort with a daunting mission. However, it must
be attempted. It is why I have the link at my blog. I knew, like a few others, this court decision was the true movement to put the current extremists on the court. To get rube America to go along and get the churches to provide the foot soldiers to vote in hard right politicians (the Bush Administration), abortion was the cover.

8. I'm for a constitutional amendment that authorizes Congress to...
...recognize non-person legal entities, and define the limits under which they may operate. Then, the SCOTUS cannot grant "personhood" to anyone; the Consitution would cede that power to Congress. Further, it allows Congress to begin to limit special interest lobbying, limit specific markets to independents, and it goes on from there.
