Most Americans confused, misinformed about health care reform.
This article appeared in a Kansas City blog: Most Americans need more information about health reform.

The first Kaiser Health Tracking Poll taken since the passage of national health reform, released today, found that one-fifth of Americans aren't even aware that President Obama signed it into law.

Fifty-five percent of those surveyed admitted that they're confused about the law, and 56 percent said they didn't have enough information to understand how the reforms affect them.

When pollsters broke down elements of the law into 11 specific provisions, in every case a majority of the respondents had favorable responses to the reforms.

When asked about the reform in broadest terms, 46 percent said they favored the law, 40 percent viewed it unfavorably, and 14 percent said they were undecided.

OK, so what is else is news, Bubby? People have been underinformed and misinformed by the M$M media.

5. Actually most people have little or no interest in news ...
they are addicted to American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.

Sad.

4. Most Americans are also lazy dumbfucks.
Fortunately, the "lazy" part keeps a lot of them from bothering to vote.

7. that's because the MSM keeps calling it health CARE reform
when it has very little to do with health care but a lot to do with how to purchase insurance which may or may not be usable to access health care. It will be years before we know the real results and whether or not most people will be able to use the insurance (who accepts it, what are the co-pays & limits, are the premiums so high that the fine is a "better deal" even though that means no health care)?

9. Exactly
and when they find out that this bill is nothing but an insurance bailout they won't only be confused, they'll be angry. And they'll take their anger out on the Democrats for passing this scam. The Republicans will use that for all it's worth and it won't matter that they had no productive ideas, only that they didn't vote for it.

10. Yet folks here were suspicious of the phrase 'health INSURANCE reform'. They didn't 'get' it either
You don't need insurance to get healthcare in most of the Anglo-European world.

The president says that "health insurance companies perform a valuable service." I'm still not sure what that role is. The military gets healthcare without insurance companies. Canadians too.

11. Good Post!
It's too bad 55% say they're confused about the law, yet they still have an opinion about it!
