But... but... but... Arizona!
Remember the "but-but-but Clinton!" meme that went around the internet? How the Bush-admirers kept claiming that Bush wasn't so bad, because Clinton had done... whatever?

Now enough with this constant "Vote for me or you'll get another Arizona" bullshit. I already voted Democratic. I don't care about anyone's career in Washington, sorry. I just care about how well politicians represent common people.

I expect the people I *already* voted for to go out and take a principled stand for HCR (ok, strike one), reforming Wall Street, prosecuting greedy predators, and yes, stopping what has already happened in Arizona.

Bottom line: if you're a politician who is already *not* doing your job, I'm not motivated to vote for you by scare tactics.

:applause: BRAVO! :applause:

Sometimes I wonder about the lengths the status-quo pols will go for diversions from their actions & INACTIONS.

3. Muslims have been living in the United States of Arizona for years
And this president has done absolutely nothing to change that.

4. You are correct but it is valid to say that if we do not get out and vote
we will get another Arizona - the T baggers are going to be at the polls.

5. I'm Not Sure They'll Be There Like The "Pundits" Claim
Let's say Gramps McCain beats Heyworth in the primary...ya think the baggers will support him? Some will, but I suspect there will be others who will vote third party or not bother at all. If Crist goes Independent in Florida and the baggers support Rubio that splits the GOOP vote...and opens the door for Crist or Meeks to win the general.

It's important that Democrats show at the polls big no matter if its teabaggers or martians who will be there. Democrats also need to energize the Hispanic and black vote (which this Arizona law just might do) as well as not letting these shitstains intimidate anyone. They're a bunch of loser and I expect that's where they'll be in November...on the losing side.

6. If politicians don't learn that people will not tolerate
them NOT doing the job they were elected to do, we will get plenty more Arizonas. We already have the Patriot Act, and now we are told it's okay to assassinate an American citizen overseas without a trial. Little if anything has changed since the country last voted, on issues like torturers being brought to justice, Habeas Corpus being restored and so much more.

The reason for this is that they rely on the voters ending up choosing the 'lesser evil'. I think it's time to change THAT expectation. We hear it every election, 'just vote for democrats at least they're better than
Republicans'.

Arizona had a Democratic Governor and Joe Arpaio was still able to carry out his Nazi agenda against brown people and anyone else who opposed him.

It's going to take way more than elections to turn this country around. It's going to take the American public refusing to accept excuses as we do all the time, using the power they do have, to boycott, to strike to remove from office anyone who has shown they are not working for the people.

And most of all, politicians need to get the message that they cannot count on votes unless they earn them.
