7. ..The goal is to "pretend" that you are regulating Wall Street...
..without really doing anything. The checks have been cut from Goldman Sachs to CONgress.

They really need to put a trading tax on ALL derivatives and CDO's, in order to save the world economy.

Also, stipulate that all Derivatievs must be traded 'on-the-books', none of these "over the counter", phantom derivatives that are off the books and subject to no law or regulation.

If Wall Strreet and the Federal Reserve are allowed to go on like this.. it is only a matter of weeks until we are right back in Depression II. (as if we ever left)

How can things 'Change'..... if nothing changes?

10. The rest of the world will leave America on her own
unless they clean up this mess.
Did you see the thread about Italy banning new AMEX credit cards over usury.

It's bad enough conning your own citizens but they fucked up the entire planet. American deregulation fucked up the global economy and the rest of the world is not going to wait for corrupt American politicians to clean this up.

12. Sherrod Brown was on Countdown talking about the vote.
I presume that's part of the effort.

I actually have a good feeling about this. This is only a temporary setback. Wall Street is Chernobyl-level radioactive, the Dems know it, are making hay on tying Wall Street to the GOP, so it's only a matter of time before they cave.
