I am brown'ish, I will never go to Arizona again...
I am a citizen of this country, I am very afraid of the police asking me questions about my citizenship...etc.

Why would I ever want to be in Arizona again? I have always loved the state, but I will be staying away for good now.

1. I'm a white, middle aged woman who looks "American",
whatever the fuck that is. I'll not darken the door of that state again until this abomination of a law is history and it's stupid ass Governor is too. Oh, and situational ethics McCain can go fuck himself as well.

2. Hey whenever I have a good tan and visit, I get looked at sideways. In 1989 I was stopped
in Yuma and asked which country I was from. This just LEGALIZES the ongoing discrimination. :(

7. All the time. They do car checks where the State Patrol looks into your car sometimes
between LA and San Diego. It's ongoing - if you live in Arizona and Southern California and have olive toned skin, you will be looked closely at.

I'm real close to leaving this fucking shit-hole of a country anyway.

Maybe I'll sneak into Mexico. :banghead:

10. Pft, my husband is part Yaqui, Arizona is Yaqui land and he can't wait...
To show these cheese eating creme puffed birthers what it looks like for a Yaqui to wrap himself in the flag they have defiled and make it holy in spite of their protestations

12. I hate to tell you this...
...but that seems to be exactly what racists in Arizona want you to say.

Around 30 years ago, Richard Butler of Aryan Nations came up with this idea that whites should emigrate en masse to the five states of the Pacific Northwest, pack the state and local governments with white separatists and supremacists, and force all of the minorities out into neighboring states and leave the new all-white states alone. Butler called it the Ten-Percent Solution.

The effort had only limited success. Most Klansman would never entertain the thought of abandoning the South, and many who did move to the Pacific Northwest found themselves facing high unemployment rates and harsh winters. The Ten-Percent Solution did inflate the congregation of Aryan Nations a tad, and also played a part in growing racial terrorists and guerillas such as The Order, but that's about as far as it went.

When the anti-immigrant law in Arizona is repealed - and it will, I am sure, within the next five years - I hope that any nonwhite person who is in love with Arizona's landscape and climate will pour into the state and make the racists squirm.

14. I am white.
I won't go to Arizona either. I love Arizona. The Grand Canyon, Tombstone, Bisby. We were even thinking about moving to Tucson after my husband is finished with grad school. Arizona can kiss my ass.
